Mike Day, one of the best known and most popular figures in the agency business, is celebrating 15 years as one of the industry’s leading training and mentoring gurus.
He incorporated his well-respected company Integra Property Services on May 16 2003 after a successful corporate career in agency, as a partner in A C Frost & Co, a regional director at the Prudential and then a main board director at Connells.
These days Mike is best known as one of the top consultants in the industry with over 600 property clients and a string of awards including three ESTAS, being a shortlisted finalist in the Negotiator Awards for five consecutive years, and being rated as Exceptional by clients in the EA Supplier Guide 2018 supported by the Property Academy.
Mike does some rating of his own, too - he’s a familiar presence on Twitter with notes on his latest training days (and the coffee he has before commencing), as well as his personal life as a devotee of Wishbone Ash and Watford football club. His meetings with fellow agents and property people are invariably concluded on Twitter with a ‘Top Man’ sign off.
“Fifteen years is a long time and the road has sometimes been potholed and sometimes smooth, it has however always been forward facing and, working on the basis that I can achieve whatever I want to achieve by just helping enough others achieve what they want to achieve, it has been rewarding and successful too.
In recent years he has developed a range of management and compliance training programmes including recent much-praised sessions on GDPR. He says his emphasis throughout has been to discuss legislation and regulation in a language that agents and other industry professionals understand.
“This is one area where my 43 years in the industry really pays dividends as I completely understand the issues of operating in the real world!” he says.
Now he says Integra Property Services is launching a new service – the Lettings Health Check – involving a business audit and report with recommendations on ensuring compliance and on maximising business opportunities.
“In a fast changing environment it’s vital that businesses are not only customer centric but also differentiate themselves from the competition. Embracing change including new technology and marketing channels is vital as is ensuring that compliance and good business practice are embedded in everything they do.”

Wow - Congratulations!
Doesn't time fly? I was only speaking with Mike yesterday regarding a very sensitive CPR issue and, as usual, his advice was invaluable.
I know it's a little predictable but he really is...
"Top Man"
I remember Mike from those early AC Frost and Prudential days, he has always been a big name and influence in our industry, well done Mike.
