Russell Quirk has gone from online estate agency founder to PR guru and property commentator, but has now added national talk show host to his burgeoning CV.
Quirk could be seen hosting his own three-hour show last Saturday on Rupert Murdoch-owned TalkTV, where he took the chance to criticise those who are forecasting a housing market crash.
He has already become a regular contributor to TalkTV, GB News, LBC and the BBC on property matters for a number of years but more recently has turned his hand, and his sharp tongue, to political commentary.
In his 180-minute stint, during which he was joined by a number of guests, Quirk opined on the cost of living crisis, the absence of police on our streets and immigration.
He of course eventually turned his attention to the housing market, addressing reports of an impending property market crash.
Quirk, not unusually, took issue with this in a long, unscripted rant that criticised experts over the past few years and their predictions of property price falls going back to Brexit, then the prospect of a no deal Brexit and then again at the beginning of the pandemic.
He said “These idiots forecast crashes consistently and they’ve all been wrong time and time again - and they are wrong now.”
Quirk cited “relatively low interest rates, full employment, cultural tailwinds and stock shortages as the reasons that growth in values would slow but said prices would not plunge.”
The full show can be seen here and Russell’s property rant starts at 2 hours 23 minutes.

Who said anything about a housing market crash? Slow down, but not crash.
Obviously out to sensationalise everything just to hear the sound of his own voice.
Trevor, my commentary was made in response to an article that day in the Express quoting an economics professor who'd written that the market is 'due for a dramatic crash'.
PS. There's nothing more sensationalist than someone who writes their comment twice
