Reapit has appointed Steve Richmond as general manager in charge of operations in its home market of the UK and Ireland.
He joins from LSL, where he served as chief operating officer since 2015.
Prior to joining LSL, Richmond had been managing director, operations at Countrywide Residential Lettings.
It comes after the announcement of a high-profile merger between Reapit and PayProp – backed by private equity firm Accel-KKR.
Mark Armstrong, chief executive of Reapit, said: “Steve has unmatched experience and knowledge of operations in both the estate agency and lettings sectors.
“As such, he is ideally placed to lead Reapit through the next phase of its growth, having proven his ability to deliver customer-focused technology transformation solutions to improve revenue and profit margins and sustain a competitive edge while in his previous roles. We are thrilled and delighted to have him on board.”
Richmond added: “Having evaluated all of the proptech technology platforms while in my previous roles, I came to the conclusion that Reapit is the leading solution on the market. I now see huge opportunities to expand Reapit’s business in estate agency and lettings across the UK and Ireland.
“I had a fantastic time working at LSL, where I built up some close professional friendships, and am now ready for a new challenge, working with the wider estate agency community, and acting as the industry’s strongest supporter and advocate within Reapit UK & Ireland.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the entire team at Reapit and also with the team at PayProp.
“This really is an exciting time to be working in technology serving the property sector. There is such great potential to improve efficiency and customer service.”

Its like London buses at my old place, first the Payprop deal now this!
Great appointment this, Steve's lived and breathed this space for years and crucially and this should be for the benefit of all existing Reapit clients having been one of their biggest clients with LSL he understand the challenge and opportunity from both sides.
There's very few quality candidates for these top jobs out there and so to get someone like Steve is a real coup.
