Estate agency brand Hamptons has named a new head of residential development.

In his new role, Hawkins will look to expand and develop the residential development division and further establish all the service lines under his remit.

After first joining Hamptons in 2005, he worked his way up to director in the residential development team, before moving to Knight Frank in 2016 where he was a partner in its residential development business and spent two years heading up the international residential sales team in the Middle East.

Since returning to Hamptons in 2021 as head of residential development London, Hawkins has led the transformation of a new homes department into an established residential development operation.

He said: “I am thrilled to be given the role of Head of Residential Development at Hamptons, further solidifying my commitment to the company and its future growth. Having spent the last few years building and grounding the residential operations in London, we can now deliver an end-to-end service with our expanded capabilities that positions us as a major industry player.

“Hamptons is where I learnt my trade and it’s been great to return after a five-year hiatus to grow the residential development division that I now head up. I’m looking forward to taking Hamptons to new heights in the residential space.”

Mary Beeton, head of sales at Hamptons, added: “Tom’s promotion to head of residential development  across the whole Hamptons network reflects our dedication to deliver the highest level of expertise for our clients and colleagues.

“His strategic vision and market acumen has already been instrumental in propelling our residential development department forward since his return to the business in 2021 and he has proved hugely effective during his tenure as Head of London. With the new Labour government pledging to build 1.5m new homes, now is the perfect time for us to further grow and develop this established area of our business under Tom’s proven leadership and with the excellent team he has alongside him.”
