Who Are Mid West Displays?
We make, supply and install window and interior display panels. We’ve a massive range of LED light panels for cable & rod systems, LED display panels, freestanding displays, media players and lots more.
Didn’t we read some news about Mid West Displays recently?
You may have read about our recent acquisition by Wrights Plastics.
And who are they?
They are a West Bromwich-based manufacturer of retail displays, Point of Sale and Point of Purchase displays.
What were the reasons for their interest in Mid West Displays?
They saw a great fit between the two companies. Firstly we are both committed to UK manufacturing, investing in people and the very latest machinery to ensure we remain competitive in a global market. They recognised Mid West Displays as a trusted brand that had become a major name in the Estate Agency display sector.
What will the change mean to your customers?
All existing Service Agreements and Warranties are unaffected and will be honoured. But we can now offer customers an extended end-to-end service that includes bespoke and off-the-shelf display solutions to complement our existing range. Wrights Plastics have almost 50 years retail display and signage experience. Add in our expertise and product range and we believe we have an unbeatable offering for estate agents and letting agents.
How is the Mid West Displays team feeling?
3 months in and it’s been really positive so far. Staffing levels are up and we’ve done some really successful joint marketing events such as Sign and Digital UK. Most of the changes have been back-end but the Directors are committed to continuing to build the Mid West Brand.
You have a new General Manager?
Clive Towe has worked at Wrights Plastics for a number of years and has just joined us as General Manager to oversee existing projects and develop strategy for future growth.
Your top tips for brilliant property displays?
Always update. Windows and interiors can soon look tired and dated and that means they won’t get noticed. It’s not enough just to update property details. Update the overall look of the displays, for example, through lighting, décor, season themes or additional display panels etc. Keep your eye on the latest display design styles and technology. And keep your eye on the competition – not just their latest instructions but their display ideas too!
Does display really matter in this internet age?
Take the example of High Street retailers. They have faced strong internet competition, but have made themselves destination venues for shoppers – places that look great and offer a unique customer experience. There is no reason why agents cannot do the same at their branches –and display will play a big role in achieving this.
Finally, let’s hear the pitch
We sell a comprehensive range of display solutions at superb value backed up by installation expertise and outstanding service. And don’t forget we manufacture at our Shrewsbury factory. That’s great for UK jobs but also means we can customise products so customers get exactly what they need. We are happy for customers to supply some basic information and we’ll design the layout to suit their available space – and budget.
