Who are you and what does it say on your business card?
Michelle O’Brien, mio Account Manager for Home Counties North
What is ‘company name’ and what does it do?
Mio, A data driven sales progression and communication tool used by estate agents to create visibility across the chain by using a shared view. It helps breakdown the barriers estate agents face when it comes to sales progression
What services do you offer and in what ways do you work with estate and letting agents?
First thing to point out, mio is for Sales only. mio offers a single view of the sales chain showing when key milestones of the transaction have been completed. This results in the agent making fewer calls plus mio also has a handy app for both vendors and buyers so they are kept up to date every step of the way too!
What makes your product different and how does it benefit agents?
By mio enabling agents to get an update just by the click of a button, it frees up so much time for the agents to do what they do best, sell houses! It creates tasks for the agents and their clients notifying what needs to be completed for the sale to go through. This in turn pushes the transaction along and speeds up the process.
What is your greatest achievement in your current role and what made it so special?
Being asked to attend the EA Masters in October . it was great to get to work on the mio stand and talk about mio to different agents from all around the country. It was a great day.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
It has to be meeting all the different agents I go out to see. Each one works so different from the next, but all have the same goal, providing the best customer service they can to their clients. Coming from an agency background myself it is great to see agents still have customer service at the top of their priorities.
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing estate and letting agents at the moment?
I think the biggest challenge is the uncertainty of how Brexit will affect the housing market over the next coming year.
What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2019?
I think most agents are now focusing on ways to speed up the sales process and in the digital world we live in, are now turning to technology to help them out. Having something different to offer is now key within an agent’s business, setting them apart from the competition and standing out from the crowd to see the year out.
Country house or city apartment?
Even though I am a city girl I love the countryside, so it has to be Country House.
Trendy roof terrace or traditional English garden?
English Garden all the way, need somewhere for my St Bernard puppy to run around!
Would you rather be a free-moving tenant or settled owner occupier?
Settled homeowner
What is your favourite room in your home?
My Dressing Room
Homes under the Hammer or Location, Location, Location?
I used to help out at the property auctions at Haydock Park, so it has to be Homes under the Hammer.
