Who are you and what does it say on your business card?
I’m Mark Worrall the co-founder of love2move
What is love2move and what does it do?
love2move provide the software and branding to allow high street estate agents to offer an online service to their clients giving them choice and assisting our agents to appeal to the new generation of house seller.
What services do you offer and in what ways do you work with estate and letting agents?
Our work with high street estate agents is what makes our business unique, we partner with our high street agents to allow them to offer a online service so they can compete with the online giants on a level playing field, without diluting their core business. Together we offer a true hybrid estate agency service for house sellers.
What makes your product different and how does it benefit agents?
We must be the only online/hybrid estate agent that doesn’t think our service is the same as the high street! Online and high street services are different, they attract a different type of client and they pay a different fee. Our dual branding approach protects our high street partners core brand, but also allows them to access the growing market for online property sales that they are currently missing out on.
What is your greatest achievement in your current role and what made it so special?
Probably successfully closing our funding round in April this year, it was a lot of hard work, but very rewarding to know somebody else outside of the business has the same belief in our business model and our ability to achieve our goals.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
There are so many it’s difficult to choose! I genuinely enjoy going to work everyday, but I probably still get the most enjoyment out of closing a deal, I have grown up in estate agency since 15 so selling houses still gives me a massive buzz!
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing estate and letting agents at the moment?
There are so many; increasing regulation, online agents, decreasing fees and a difficult market with economic uncertainty. It’s not easy out there, but I think agents should focus on futureproofing their business because if they don’t online agents will continue to steadily gain market share and we will wake up one day and they will have 20% of the market.
What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2019?
An up and down market as economic uncertainty continues and unfortunately, I think this means departures for some high street estate agents who don’t adapt.
Country house or city apartment?
I’m partial to village life so country house.
Trendy roof terrace or traditional English garden?
Easy- English garden complete with BBQ & Bar!
What is your favourite room in your home?
Can I count the garden? I have two young boys and they love being outdoors, so we spend as much time in the garden as the weather in North West England allows.
Homes under the Hammer or Location, Location, Location?
