Launchpad Reading helps vulnerable and disadvantaged people turn their lives around and fulfil their potential, while H3 - which stands for Helping the Homeless into Housing - works alongside formerly homeless people to provide support to others from their community without a home, and runs a project called ‘Homefinder’, which helps people find somewhere to live.
Charities focused on the housing sector can apply for funds via The DPS’ website at www.depositprotection.com/charity. Applications for the next round of awards must be submitted by December 31.

Funds go to the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

Life Saving Education: People in the Ashbourne area of Derbyshire will soon have access to life-saving information after the Nottingham Building Society and its estate agency arm Harrison Murray stepped in to provide sponsorship for an important publication.
The new 'Defibrillators – A guide to their locations around Ashbourne and how to use them' leaflet will be distributed to local homes over the coming weeks following an event at Ashbourne Ex-Servicemen's Club recently.
“We were approached about the possibility of sponsoring the defibrillator leaflet and didn't have to think twice. It is a fantastic thing for all households in the local area to keep to hand as it contains potentially vital, and life-saving, information. We are delighted to be involved with such an important project that means so much to the local community” says Ashbourne branch building society manager Sian Harris.
