A new online agency launched on Monday is already in hot water.
It used photographs of a Manchester property on sale through Hunters, describing it as a London home ‘under offer’.
Just599 - which has now removed the photographs - made much play in its launch press release of describing High Street estate agents as doing “unnecessary stuff” and attracting large fees.
However, when Estate Agent Today ran a story yesterday about the new agency, one reader - Mark Pedley of Hunters in Manchester - looked at Just599.
“One has to question the legitimacy of this company. I have just checked them out, and one of their 'under offer' properties is one that my agency is currently marketing in Manchester. They claim that it is in London and have used all of our pictures” wrote Pedley in a comment to the story.
Just599 marketing director Ian Reece left an online comment beneath yesterday’s story, acknowledging a problem.
“On behalf of Just599, we hold our hands up and apologise. No excuses. Our web developer was using other agents images and description whilst we were testing our portal and this was not removed before the launch of the site on Monday. Please except my apology and rest assured that this mistake will not be repeated” he wrote.
