The eventual rebrand of former independent agency W A Ellis is set to be completed next year following the opening of a new office using its staff but labelled under the name of the firm’s new owner, JLL.
The office - in Chelsea - will open in the new year and will be the firm’s 11th in the capital.
A statement announcing the January opening says the office will be staffed by existing members of W A Ellis ahead of the full rebrand “later in the year.”
Back in October 2014 JLL, hitherto known as Jones Lang LaSalle and more prominent in commercial than residential activity - announced it had acquired the single-office W A Ellis.
The Chelsea office will handle both sales and lettings and comes as a series of reports throw doubt on the health of the central London housing market. JLL’s head of residential agency, Lucy Morton, says the firm is expanding “sensibly...despite the current market uncertainty.”
