Market flux as agencies expand, contract and restructure

A series of announcements offer an insight into the market flux at the moment.

Firstly the franchise giant Hunters has added three more branches to its total with offices opening in Wallasey and Neston; in the north west, these bring Hunters' total to 20 and its national network to over 180. 

The three new branches will offer full sales and lettings services with staff who have been active in the area since 2004. 

Meanwhile at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset one prominent local agency - Wild Goose Property - is closing its branch in the town because of what it has described in the local media as "an extraordinary combination of ill health and staffing issues."

The firm's offices in Bedminster and Cheddar are unaffected by the closure.

The 'Rentin Letting Agency' operation, based until now at the Wild Goose Burnham-on-Sea office, is also unaffected and it set to be relocated.

Finally residential auctioneer Auction House is reorganising its north west of England operations on the back of what it calls "the surge in residential and commercial activity across the region."

Estate agency Ryder & Dutton is to operate a new division - Auction House Manchester - out of the Etihad stadium in the city. 

Farrell Heyworth, another estate agency in the north west, is to operate Auction House North West in association with Auction House itself. This will have a sale room in Bolton football club's Macron Stadium.
