Each year the London Stock Exchange lists 1,000 firms in a league table entitled ‘Companies To Inspire Britain’ and for the third year in a row it includes London estate agency chain Dexters.
Compiled each year by the exchange and business data consultancy Growth Intelligence, the list cites the UK’s most exciting businesses which are driving economic recovery.
The compilers monitor the performance of every registered business in the UK.
To be included, companies must show sustained revenue growth above the levels of their competitors, as well as other factors such as an increase in employee numbers and work space.
Dexters has 28 offices in central London, with more than 60 across the wider capital. Founded in Twickenham in 1993, it now employs more than 1,200 people, selling and letting upwards of 12,000 London properties per year. It currently achieves a turnover of around £70m with profits at around £15m this year.
“We lead the way in our staff training with the Dexters Academy...we are proud to be a firm of chartered surveyors. This philosophy of taking pride in how we do business has driven our expansion as a company and our success in out-performing our competitors in terms of business growth” says company founder and chief executive Jeff Doble.

Bit odd. But congratulations to Dexters, I guess.
