Zoopla Property Group has gone for a new chief financial officer steeped in online and digital experience rather than one with any kind of property-related background.
Andy Botha takes over the CFO role on April 18 and comes from a similar position at notonthenighstreet.com, a website dedicated to selling gifts and products not available offline. Botha also has experience in senior roles at Betfair on travels and accommodation website lastminute.com.
A ZPG statement says Botha has “a proven ability to execute different multi-brand, multi-channel business models across the digital and technology sectors” and will join the group’s senior management team.
Also joining that team is ZPG’s newly appointed group strategy director Paul Whitehead, who until recent was chief commercial officer at uSwitch - acquired by Zoopla last year - and a previous senior executive at Channel 4 for six years.
The ZPG statement welcoming Botha says his experience at leading teams “during periods of high-growth” will be highly relevant.
