Countrywide has taken another step into the residential development mortgage market by acquiring Mortgage Bureau, which works with national house builders as well as estate agents.
The company offers advice on mortgage and related insurance needs, primarily in the land and new homes sector.
Led by directors Mark Clouston and Jamie Barnett, the company has previously enjoyed a particularly strong presence with developers across the Midlands and North of England, and is able to deliver personal, local advice which has enabled it to build an enviable reputation in the market.
It has seen an average revenue growth of 35 per cent in each of the last four years and generated £0.9 billion of mortgage lending in 2015.
