Pi Labs, which has ex-TV Dragon James Caan and Countrywide amongst its investors, is partnering with a Canadian company in a move which may give UK PropTech innovators a market in North America.
The deal is with Bosa Ventures, the investment arm of Bosa Properties.
The partnership funding is relatively modest - £100,000 - but this will add to Pi Labs’ existing ‘accelerator programme’ helping provide seed-funding for new companies.
Pi Labs was launched in October 2014 and has since gone on to support 16 property technology start-ups.
Last week, five firms operating with Pi Labs presented to a over 150 investors, seeking seed investment from £500,000 to £1,000,000.
“Our alignment with Pi Labs will allow us both to be on the forefront of new frontiers of PropTech, while leveraging the multiple streams of innovation we already have underway in the field of property development and construction” explains Colin Bosa, chairman of Bosa Properties.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for the start-ups financially and also in terms of global reach. We now also have a close link to North America and a partner to help our companies roll out into those markets” according to Dominic Wilson, managing partner of Pi Labs.
