Merged estate agents Leaders and Romans, known also as the Property Services Holdings Group (PSH), have taken aim at their competitors by publicly committing to further acquisitions.
The 151-branch agency has acquired 22 businesses in the last 12 months between its brands, adding 31 branches to its network.
The firm says it is actively searching for lettings companies to acquire, despite 'a number of competitors revealing they are no longer acquiring businesses and adding new branches'.
This statement seems most likely to be directed at Countrywide, which ruled out agency acquisitions for the remainder of the year in August, and Foxtons, which recently reported it was 'reviewing' its new branch openings.
Leaders and Romans' most recent acquisition was Bennett and Stevens, a one-branch agency based in Tonbridge, Kent.
“Despite some of our major competitors opting to put away the chequebook in 2016 and beyond, we are ready to invest in more companies in order to expand our growing branch network even further," says Matthew Light, acquisitions director for PSH.
“Our acquisitions team is currently extremely busy as we continue the search for new and successful businesses that can be absorbed into the group. We would like to hear from any company owners who are thinking about selling either now or in the future.”
