Savills has acquired Guernsey-based company Montagu Evans Channel Islands Limited to create the company’s first presence on the island, and to complement its existing residential activities on neighbouring Jersey.
Montagu Evans Channel Islands Limited - established in 2010 and a separate company to Montagu Evans LLP - has changed its name to Savills Channel Islands Limited with immediate effect.
Montagu Evans Channel Islands Ltd is based in St Peter Port and offers property management, lease consultancy, valuations, planning, and investment. The team of nine have all joined Savills with immediate effect.
On Jersey, Savills has since 2007 had an office majoring in resi sales. Its five existing staff operate what the company calls “the only residential agent on the Island with a global profile.”
“The two offices combined will provide a leading multi-discipline real estate service supported by our UK and wider international network” according to Mark Ridley, chief executive of Savills UK and Europe.
Tony Rowbotham, managing director at Montagu Evans Channel Island Ltd, says that a strategic review of its activities and clients “led us to the understanding that we needed to operate under a more international platform.”
