Strutt & Parker has revealed its new board following the takeover by the real estate arm of French bank BNP Paribas.
The acquisition - which we reported on here, back in August - means Strutts will continue to operate its residential offices under its existing name; as has been reported over the summer, the commercial arm of the business will operate under the BNP Paribas Real Estate brand.
Itsa new board demonstrates “our balanced business model and ability to offer clients complete coverage in every asset type, across the UK” according to Thierry Laroue-Pont, chief executive of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
The chief executive officer will be the popular Andy Martin, previously senior partner at Strutt & Parker. He joined the firm in 1985 and headed its commercial team from 2005 before assuming the role of senior partner in 2009.
Other key residential figures on the new board include Simon Kibblewhite, the new head of residential development and planning. Prior to this appointment, he led the UK development and planning teams that operate within London and nationally, advising landowners and developers on delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. He joined Strutt & Parker in 2006 having previously worked for Savills and Countryside Properties.
Guy Robinson becomes head of residential agency on the new board, having led the residential agency division at Strutt & Parker before the takeover. He oversees 60 offices across England and Scotland including seven in prime central London. He has previously worked at Hamptons International and Savills.
