End Youth Homelessness: Fine & Country offices in the West Midlands will brave a cold British night on Friday November 24, sleeping outside with just some cardboard and a sleeping bag to protect them from the harsh weather.

The Sleep Out will be held in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral, an eye-catching and beautiful location. The annual event is organised by St Basil’s Youth Homeless Charity, which is one of the nine members of End Youth Homelessness’s national campaign.

Fine & Country Banbury, Sutton Coldfield and the Mailbox will be joined by hundreds of others for this fantastic and powerful event. The event will include a cardboard structures competition and some entertainment before everyone tucks into their sleeping bags and tries to get some sleep.

New Story: Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC and New Story, the brand’s charitable partner, have pledged to donate funds for the construction of over 150 homes in an upcoming New Story community in Mexico.

The 2017 Sotheby's International Realty Global Networking Event held in Las Vegas witnessed a moving presentation of the New Story mission to build communities of homes for those in need for $6,500 per home. 

The audience of 2,400 was challenged to reach a goal of 100 home pledges during the two-day meeting. In the 32 hours that followed, the goal was surpassed with over 150 homes pledged. Once fully-funded, these homes will provide a safe, sustainable living environment and unlock the potential for families to thrive.

Middleton Park FC Under 8s: The Beeston branch of the area’s leading estate agent has provided Middleton Park FC Under 8s with an impressive new green and black playing strip as part of Manning Stainton’s on-going Community Support Programme.

The team currently play in the Garforth Junior League and have seen the number of registered players rise significantly over the last 12 months.

Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 clubs, groups, schools and other worthwhile organisations through its Community Support Programme over the last 12 months.

Clock Tower Sanctuary: While unlucky for some, on Friday October 13 more than 45 teams gathered at The Grand Hotel, Brighton to take part in a charity quiz organised by Mishon Mackay.

Celebrating the firm’s 30th year in business, local estate agent Mishon Mackay’s annual charity quiz raised £2,200 for The Clock Tower Sanctuary – a charity that supports homeless young people.

Alex Mackay, Managing Director at Mishon Mackay, says: “Thank you to everyone who came to our quiz, we are so grateful for your continued support. The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a fantastic charity that provides a vital service in our city. Thanks, too, to everyone who donated raffle prizes – it was a great evening.”

Agency Express Shoebox Appeal: Can you help make a difference to a child living in poverty this Christmas?

In August this year Agency Express announced the launch of its 2017 Christmas Shoebox Appeal in association with international relief charity Teams4U.

With just a few weeks left until the shoeboxes are shipped out, Agency Express wants agents and industry professionals across to help the country one last time. 

The shoeboxes collected will be sent to schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages across Romania, Bosnia and Belarus. Every box makes a difference and they are gratefully received with laughter and smiles.

There are two ways to join the Agency Express Shoebox Appeal and they are both simple.

Option 1: Pack a box - Head over to the Agency Express Shoebox Appeal web page and from there you can download a guide to packing and sending a Christmas shoebox.

Option 2: Donate - For just £15 Agency Express will pack a box full of goodies, wrap it and send it for you. Donations can be made online via Just Giving. If you would like to send multiple boxes then larger donations are welcomed.

Andrews Charitable Trust: The Andrews Charitable Trust , one of two charitable trusts that wholly own Keynsham-based Andrews  has presented The Listening Ear Project with a cheque for £2,000 that will enable 36 new volunteers to be trained to deliver supportive listening services.

A collaboration between St Peter’s Church, Filton, South Gloucestershire and Network Counselling and Training, The Listening Ear Project aims to bring free supportive listening services to the community in and around Filton and is being run by Reverend Elizabeth Gregory.

She comments: “Having set up numerous projects in the past which have supported the more vulnerable in society, I was keen that St Peter’s should use its café space to offer support to members of the local community when they’re going through a difficult time in their life.”

Every year, Andrews Property Group gives a minimum of 35 per cent of its profits to its two charitable shareholders. ACT then selects innovative new community projects to receive grants of £2,000 with the Listening Ear Project being one of six to be selected in the latest round of awards.
