Connells Group says its Land and New Homes divisions enjoyed record performances in 2016.
The group, which includes Connells and Sequence along with a number of other High Street brands, recorded a six per cent rise in new homes instructions and five per cent uplift in new homes exchanges compared to the previous year.
The performance follows an increase in the group’s team of land professionals to over 40 to support the new homes network; this has resulted in a 33 per cent increase in the return from the land team with a significant number of land deals and new homes sites won.
The group says it expects to provide 9,000 new homes plots this year.
The division supports the group’s nearly-600 UK estate agency branches with land and new home experts, selling and acquiring for a range of development projects including shared equity and shared ownership schemes, urban regeneration, brownfield sites, mixed use and greenfield sites.
