Countrywide names a new London director for sales and lettings

Countrywide has promoted Shane Ballard to become one of London’s Retail Directors in the organisation.

He will cover sales and lettings for the Bairstow Eves, Mann, Gascoigne Pees and Greene & Co. brands.

Ballard began his employment with Greene & Co in 2005 as a sales negotiator and, following the acquisition of the business by Countrywide in May 2015, he has held senior roles within sales and lettings.

He will be responsible for overseeing 750 staff based in 85 branches, working across the capital. The brands cover homes from £200,000 to the £1.8m price range.

“Countrywide has genuine reach through towns, cities and regions across the UK and London, which includes our Hamptons International and John D Wood & Co. businesses” says Jonathan Simpson, divisional managing director, London.

“We grew our share of the London lettings market last year - over 13,000 properties were let with a Countrywide brand in London - and we have over 22,000 properties under our management across the capital. Shane’s appointment builds on our strategy of organic growth and promoting high calibre employees from within the business” says Simpson.
