Two figures with high profiles in the world of PropTech have formed a consultancy to try to sell their services to agents and others in the property industry.
Eddie Holmes, recently named as chairman of the UK PropTech Association trade group and who has worked with eMoov on technology issues in the past, is teaming up with ex-Foxtons agent James Dearsley, the founder of The Digital Marketing Board and occasional contributor to Estate Agent Today.
Their new London-based operation, called PropTech Consult, and offers services including addressing “a full range of issues faced during digital transformation including market and competitor intelligence, fundraising, acquisition identification and execution, internal innovation and investment management.”
Holmes says the challenge for the next decade will be faced “by property companies who do not have the right people, culture or strategies to take advantage of the opportunities presented by digital transformation.”
Dearsley says this year marks the tipping point for the property industry, which finally accepts that technology is here to stay.
“Those businesses that move swiftly, and with appropriate advice, have an enormous opportunity to capitalise on technology that can make them more efficient but also open up new markets and revenue streams” he insists.

Having worked with Eddie, he certainly knows his stuff. His contact list is incredible and he knows the Proptech market better than anyone I know. Good luck with the new venture.
