Connells Group - which includes Connells, Sequence and other brands - says it recorded over 9,000 new homes sales in 2017.
This represents a 15 per cent increase in business and a 22 per cent increase in instructions over 2016, cementing its position as the largest agency for new homes sales in the UK.
The group says the synergy between its new homes team and land and planning division has also resulted in a further 2,750 units being added to the pipeline for this year - 31 per cent higher than at the start of 2017.
The company says some 600 local offices now have the expertise to sell new homes in their local markets.
“We know from our agency branches that there is a marked increase in the number of people registering an interest to move home this year and a continued demand for new homes. We are therefore optimistic for another strong year in close collaboration with our house builder partners” says group chairman Stephen Shipperley.
The company says stand-out instructions last year include the first UK project from Swedish builders Trivselhus bringing 56 low energy homes to Milton Keynes; a unique development, The Ordnance Yard in Gosport, with homes set within Grade II original ‘blast walls’ at the former Royal Navy’s armaments production site; high-end Hammersmith townhouses at the Merchant Terrace development; 175 new homes coming soon at the former RAF Stanbridge base and a number of permitted development sites such as Elvian House in Slough.
Connells Group also continues to act for a number of house builders in the regeneration of Birmingham city centre.

After spending many years working for the group in quite a senior position alongside Simon Cross it is safe to say do not trust any of there figures.
As an area the "system" and MI regularly told senior management our area had 3000 available properties. However, reality was 600.
What they count as a market appraisal and instruction is very loose!!! Also property remains available on their MI whether it falls through or not!!! PS I have evidence to prove this!!!!
Connells pr based upon wishful thinking? Surely not?
