Regional portal revamps with pledge to promote estate agents' brands

A major revamp of Northern Ireland’s Propertynews portal has been unveiled with one of the targets being to enhance the visability of estate agency brands advertising on it.

Propertynews has existed for over 25 years and its new functionality emphasises improved property views and email leads.

Mark Reilly, the portal’s commercial manager, says: “Estate agents’ brands feature heavily throughout the new site and work has been done to improve their visibility within the listings and in the agent contact sections. It is now also even easier to feature an agents properties and their own estate agency.”

In addition the search function has been improved to provide greater flexibility when searching; users can now search for multiple queries including postcodes. Keyword search has also been extended.

Users can now save searches and create instant alerts; users can determine the frequency of their alerts depending on their preferences.

A map tool has also been introduced and users can add “My Important Places” - each time they search a property, the portal calculates the distance of the home from ‘important places’ itemised by the user.
