The outsourced viewing service Viewber says it has now conducted over 20,000 viewings on behalf of agents and has secured another £2.2m in funding.
The funding will be spent on further development of the Viewber technology platform, marketing and key staff hires.
The PropTech firm says the focus will be “the provision of an outstanding quality service to agent clients, property managers and landlords, underpinning the company’s continued growth.”
Launched in September 2016 by high profile Douglas & Gordon executive Ed Mead and by Marcus de Ferranti, Viewber has grown at around 20 per cent per month over the past year.
The latest funding round was arranged to ensure that early adopting customers and the 4,000 or so ‘Viewbers’ viewing guides were able to participate.
In addition to Mead, the Viewber board now includes Peter Rollings - the ex-Foxtons managing director, ex-Marsh & Parsons chief executive and Viewber investor - as well as venture capitalist and technology entrepreneur, Richard Cunningham, who serves as chairman.
“Quality has been our watchword and it’s exciting to see an original idea for helping buyers and tenants get access to properties out of hours and at weekends growing into something the industry accepts as a valuable addition to the services they provide” says Mead.
“Over the last two years I’ve been asked to get involved with a number of prop tech businesses, Viewber made obvious sense to me and to work with Ed on such a ground breaking project is exciting. At a challenging time for everyone in the property industry, Viewber is a service that enables agents to boost their bottom line with minimal capital outlay” explains Rollings.
