Still in the north, there’s expansion in the air for property search agency Heaton & Partners.
It’s moving into the north of England by merging with Phil Martin of AcQuire Property. This will see Heaton & Partners now cover prime northern property hotspots including Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District.
Phil worked for the original Garrington Home Finders alongside Phil Spencer, of TV's Location, Location, Location programme for five years.
He specialises in acting for buyers in prime residential property acquisition including property investment portfolios to multi-million pound country houses.
He’ll work closely with Edward Heaton, founder of Heaton & Partners, to grow the property investment side of the business, encouraging clients to focus on key northern cities such as Manchester and Liverpool as well as Prime Central London.

Now let’s swing into London where Featherstone Leigh’s Richmond sales branch has announced that Oscar Doyle has returned to managing the office, having previously worked there from 2003 to 2010.
“I am delighted to have returned to Featherstone Leigh. Working for an independent agent means, as an agency, we put our clients first, rather than having to prioritise the partners or shareholders. Richmond remains an excellent place to move to and invest in, and demand here remains consistent, despite fluctuations in other areas. From the Georgian townhouses on Richmond Hill through to new developments near the station, there is real diversity in the property market” explains Oscar.
There’s plenty of movement over the summer outside the traditional agency landscape too, including Legal & General appointing Ben Denton as managing director of its affordable homes division.
Ben has joined from Sovereign Housing Association, the sixth largest housing association in the UK, where he handled an annual housing budget of some £250m.
