One of the earliest British estate agencies to adopt the model of using self-employed or freelance agents operating under the same brand has unveiled a new website and a string of new recruits.
Mr & Mrs Clarke opened in 2014 and operates as a hybrid without a High Street office but with agents visiting vendors to give market assessments and valuations, advertising their instructed properties on Rightmove and Zoopla.
Self-employed agents operating under the Mr & Mrs Clarke brand can charge whatever fees they wish and keep 75 per cent of all commission on sales and lettings, and can work according to their personal requirements - the agency has been commanded for as “pioneers of flexible working” by a national newspaper.
Now the firm has revealed an updated website and new partners - self-employed agents - serving the Solihul, Stamford, Cardiff and Sevenoaks areas. One of them is a former Countrywide local director.
They join eight other partners who have come on board earlier this year, including one from the London boutique estate agency The Modern House.
“Clients have loved our style and our approach over the last few years but we want to remain at the forefront of the industry in terms of our website and the way we advertise the brand and the homes we work with” Estate Agent Today has been told by Paul Clarke, the agency’s founder.
“A lot of comment has been made about the benefits for agents who are joining the likes of Agent & Homes, Keller Williams and ExP and recruiters are seeing a thirst from ambitious agents who want to be free of corporate shackles and be in control of their own destiny” adds Clarke.
”Some companies showcase their training credentials, others their fancy hub-office in a smart part of West London or the opportunity they give their new recruits to run under their own name. Mr & Mrs Clarke pride themselves on the support they provide their partners and the opportunity they have to earn 75 per cent of sales and lettings commission within an exclusive territory” he adds.
“Ambitious, modern agents want to work with us because they can see the benefit of having an in-house design agency, exclusivity in their local area and a concierge team who will handle the time-consuming administration tasks. We are growing fast and creating an exciting culture where we support our Partners so they can concentrate on providing consumers with a boutique service.”
The agency - which has also taken new branding experts on to its management team - says it’s now looking for further agents to join the operation.
“It’s clear that estate agency is changing for the better and by empowering people to run their own business with the support of a great brand and efficient systems we are one of a growing number of modern business at the forefront of the revolution” says Paul Clarke.
“Partners are free to charge the fees they want and are not set targets or held to onerous restrictions, we believe in partners being self-determined and autonomous and we are here to provide all the support they need to run a lucrative and enjoyable business” he says.
