One of the capital's best-known agents, Marsh & Parsons, has expanded its network with a new office in Streatham Hill, South West London.
The new office is the agency's 31st London branch and follows recent openings in Chiswick and Willesden Green, bucking the market trend of closures and consolidation.
Sales at the new branch will be headed by Stacey Blacker, a local resident who was previously sales manager at Marsh & Parsons' Shoreditch office.
Blacker has extensive knowledge of the Streatham area and worked for a competing agency in South London for seven years prior to working for Marsh & Parsons.
The lettings department is being run by Charlotte Whitmarsh, who has been with the company since 2015 and previously worked as Lettings Manager in both its Tooting and Battersea offices.
Marsh & Parsons says it already has an established presence in the area with nearby branches in Tooting, Balham and Brixton. However, it says a steady increase in demand for its services in the Streatham area means it 'made sense' to open a dedicated office.
To celebrate the launch, vendors can sell their home for free within a certain catchment area before August 2 2019.
Patrick Littlemore, chief executive at Marsh & Parsons, comments: "Our continued expansion in carefully selected locations, in line with our stated strategy to grow our office network to 36, reinforces our confidence in the long-term health of the London market."
"Streatham Hill connects our operations in Tooting, Brixton, Balham, Clapham and Battersea, and will further enhance our proposition in this area."
"Both Stacey Blacker and Charlotte Whitmarsh have an impressive knowledge of the local market, which will be instrumental in helping to successfully launch the new office," he says.
"Our 0% commission offer has proved to be a successful way to introduce exciting new instructions to the market."
