Products and partnerships - PropTech suppliers unveil latest agent solutions

Two PropTech suppliers have this week announced new partnerships and products with the aim of helping estate agents.

Firstly, sales progression and communication tool, mio, has announced that it has joined the Relocation Agent Network (RAN) as an improved supplier.

All members of RAN are being given an exclusive offer of 'an extra three months free' if they sign up to mio before October 1 2019.

mio, launched by tmgroup in 2017, is aiming to reduce fall-through rates and speed up the exchange process.

The tool says that in Cardiff it has already helped to reduce average fall-through rates to 21% compared to the UK average of 33%.

It says it has also helped to speed up transactions to exchange, with an average of 85 days compared to the 2018 national average of 126 days.

mio says its key features which help agents include a clear view of the chain, data fees from conveyancers, lenders and surveyors and centralised customer communications.

Meanwhile, London-based PropTech startup Giraffe360, which specialises in digital property photography, has launched a new camera.

The firm closed a £1 million funding round in January and its new product aims to provide agents with 'cutting-edge functionality, ease of use and automation'.

There are no restrictions on where the camera can be used – large rooms, small rooms, industrial space, garden or a tiny bathroom.

Giraffe360, which aims to enable virtual access through different visual forms like virtual tours, and floor plans with high detail and accuracy, says it intends to save agents up to 90% of their photography costs and cut out 70% of waste viewings.

"In essence, we have combined a camera with a laser and made them work in a fully automatic manner. We are aiming to create a circle of quality marketing content for agents - from camera click to appearing online," explains Mikus Opelts, Giraffe360 chief executive.

"Everyone in the property process benefits from superior photography. The property industry is experiencing unprecedented developments right now and agents who listen to consumer demands for a tech-led home-selling strategy are already seeing the benefits."
