Off-market service launched in bid to combat sales slowdown

Prime London subscription-based property platform LonRes has launched an off-market service for its subscribers.

It says that as transactions across prime London have slowed, so agents’ reliance on off-market listings has grown.

Its off-market service, available to its 6,000 subscribers, works like this.

The selling agent, who remains anonymous, uploads the first part of the property’s postcode, its price, whether it’s a flat or house and its bedroom count.

The agent can add more information, including photographs, if they choose.

The listing, which is clearly labelled off-market, is captured as part of the usual member’s search results; anyone interested in the property and seeking more information can register interest by clicking on a ‘contact agent’ link which sends an email direct to the selling agent.

“Not only is the network closed to the public, but would-be LonRes subscribers must qualify to join. The off-market service simply adds an additional layer of control” explains LonRes managing director Anthony Payne.

LonRes claims it is “widely regarded as the definitive database on the prime London sales and lettings market.”
