Knight Frank has expanded its residential London network with the addition of a new South Bank office.
While many agencies have shut or merged branches in the capital, this new office is the 32nd in London for Knight Frank and will house a new sales and lettings operation that covers the South Bank local market.
Mark Batty has been appointed to lead the lettings team, while Daniel Woods will lead the sales team.
The new branch will give Knight Frank presence in one of the largest regeneration schemes in Europe, stretching over 5.25 acres, with over 800 new homes, 48,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as 530,000 square feet of office space.
Analysis of Knight Frank data shows that the average sales price in South Bank (postcodes SE1 7, SE1 8 and SE1 9) has risen 70 per cent between 2015 and 2019, meanwhile the number of transactions have risen 116 per cent, attributable to the new build activity in the area.
“Marking a new chapter in the ongoing success story of our London business, it will not only provide a sales and lettings service to our clients both locally and around the world; but will also house our new state of the art training centre for our teams across the UK” explains Tim Hyatt, Head of London Residential.
Colleague Gary Hall, acting Head of Lettings at Knight Frank, says: “Rental demand continues to outstrip supply in central London and the new homes at Southbank Place will help to satisfy the increasing interest in luxury riverside property.”
