A free-to-list portal says it’s an ideal way to capture potential leads so as to augment agents’ client databases that have been depleted by GDPR.
Residential People, which has 870,000 listings worldwide, says it is a free-to-list solution that generates thousands of leads and offers increased market exposure for agents.
It claims to receive some 6,000 new property enquiries per month in the UK and forecasts it will achieve 1.6m listings by the end of this year; it is supported by over 4,600 agents worldwide who list on the portal.
“As far as we are concerned, listing with Rightmove and Zoopla etc is perfectly fine. However, adding Residential People allows you to receive lots of eyes on your listings without costing a penny … All the enquiries we generate are a great way for agents to replenish their databases that may have been depleted by the new GDPR rules” says the portal.
Client audits undertaken by many agents ahead of the introduction of GDPR in May 2018 and in the months following its introduction are believed to have led to a significant culling of contact details, which some analysts have suggested may be a contributing factor to a fall in transactions this year.
“On our sites, agents can have an infinite number of property listings for free. However, should they wish, they can also take advantage of our series of premium marketing features such as automatic video generation and microsite creation, which will enhance an agent’s brand recognition and promote awareness of their properties” the portal adds.
Residential People says is already the third biggest portal in the United Arab Emirates in terms of listings with 90 per cent market share and is “well on the way to becoming the largest residential real estate portal in South Africa.”
It has a target of 10m listings worldwide by the end of 2021, which would make it one of the largest portals in the world.
