Property ‘social network’ portal prepares for formal launch this month

A portal which describes itself as a social network and which has been operating on a soft launch basis for many months says it is formally launching at last this month.

Propertyheads, which started operating in June 2018, also contains a directory of tradespeople and property-related businesses and is now sending out a final call for estate agents, suppliers and others to add their details to the site ahead of the formal launch.

A statement from the site says it has been developed “to provide public buyers with an easy to use collaborative social setting in order to make more informed choices around the right property, tradespeople and estate agents for them.”

It claims to already have some 50,000 users a month.

“We know how hard it can be for reputable suppliers and tradespeople across the UK to set themselves apart from the competition and get noticed by potential customers” says the site’s chief executive Ben Davis.

“We designed PropertyHeads to be the perfect platform for the best businesses to get noticed by as many people as possible. In fact, it’s the only website specifically built to help property businesses create more word-of-mouth leads, more repeat business and more business from recommendations.”

Propertyheads suggests estate agents and other property business to individuals based on information they enter on the site, and it currently lists over 10,000 property businesses including estate agents and professional traders and over 100,000 properties.

Controversially, early this year it launched a tradespeople ‘blacklist’ which at the time was said to consist of some 1,000 names - including those with a criminal record, including convicted murderers.

I just put in the NW1 postcode for Estate Agents on there site and got over 16 pages of agents from West Hampstead to Islington. Why do these people bother, who is going to look at 16 pages when they can't deliver what is asked for. I suggest a redesign of their search facility before they formally launch.
