Agents Do Charity - even as things get just a little tougher…

The Big Issue Foundation: To mark World Homelessness Day, accreditation service safeagent has made a donation to The Big Issue Foundation, which creates opportunities to end poverty and homelessness for Big Issue vendors.

safeagent is a proud supporter of the foundation and is working with the organisation to provide advice and support on how to access the private rental sector; safeagent is also celebrating the role that accredited letting agents play in helping tenants sustain their tenancies and avoid homelessness.

safeagent chief executive Isobel Thomson says: “Agents play a vital role in providing people with safe and secure homes. On World Homelessness Day we’re reminding people of the important role of agents in helping tenants maintain their tenancies - working to find solutions with their landlord before there is any risk of homelessness.”

Lymphoma Action: Jackson-Stops’ Ipswich branch, which recently launched its New Homes division, is currently marketing Flatford View, a development of seven eco-style homes in ‘Constable Country’, the village of East Bergholt.

Tim Dansie, director of Jackson-Stops’ Ipswich branch, has purchased a painting of the millstream in Flatford from artist Wendy Brooke-Smith. at a London exhibition held in aid of Lymphoma Action, with 20 per cent of all sales being donated directly to the charity. 

To date, the total raised for Lymphoma Action from artwork sales is more than £5,000 - part of it from the Jackson-Stops purchase.

Side By Side Special Needs School: The Avon Group of Companies, a property investment business, has joined with broadband provider Community Fibre to provide internet capability to this school in Hackney, London.

Side by Side’s new £10m school will be open for business in September 2022, catering for 130 pupils.

Israel Moskovitz, chief executive of Avon Group, says: “Side by Side is a charity that is incredibly close to my heart. The work they do to support young children with disabilities is integral to the community, and, as a trustee of the school, I have been pleased to work with Community Fibre to provide a valuable service free of charge. Modern education requires fast broadband, which is why we are so pleased to partner with Community Fibre to provide Side by Side with a top-level service.”
