Belvoir has become the latest major agency group to sign up to Boomin as a founder agent.
The properties of all four agency brands - Belvoir, Northwood, Newton Fallowell and Lovelle spanning a branch network of some 313 offices - will all feature on the platform.
Belvoir Group issued a trading statement only yesterday showing how its business was now exceeding pre-pandemic expectations; it has experienced approaching a 50 per cent growth in its branch network over the last five years, some of it down to an expansion into ancillary services with 200 advisors for its mortgage business.
As a founder agent of Boomin, Belvoir Group franchisees will receive a free share allocation and will use the platform free of charge in 2021.
All Belvoir Group employees and directors qualify to nominate themselves or a colleague for a seat on the main board of Boomin - an innovation announced yesterday by the portal.
“The team at Boomin have been exceptionally pro-active in sharing their plans and vision for the future and their investment in technology. Partnering with agents is a positive step and we look forward to working with the Boomin team to help drive revenues through our franchise network” explains Dorian Gonsalves, Belvoir’s chief executive.
And Boomin chief executive Michael Bruce says: “The team at Belvoir have built up a strong and successful, growing business in recent years and this has been achieved through the entrepreneurial drive of its franchisees and a forward looking, customer centric culture.
“The Boomin platform will draw more customers into the market, bolster transaction activity and provide greater earning opportunities for agents. For customers, the new features such as Sneak Peek, will provide them with deeper insights into their local market and with Matchmaker even allow them to target the specific street they desire to live on. Founder agents will secure all of these benefits, alongside free shares and pricing certainty until 2024.”
Boomin has been developed by Michael and Kenny Bruce and David Shepherd, who previously launched Purplebricks in 2014, and pledges to be what it calls “the first property portal for the home” with offerings beyond listings.
The portal is expected to launch later this month and to date has signed thousands of agency branches and over 40 per cent of the top 100 agents in the country.
