Auction House, which says it’s the largest property auctioneer in the UK, is opening a new branch in Kent, with its first auction later this month.
Auction House, launched in 2007, has sold over 30,000 lots. Its new branch, located at its head office in Maidstone, will carry out seven sales a year from February 27.
Auction House Kent’s managing director, Andrew Stallard, says it’s a popular misconception that properties have to be in a terrible condition in order to be auctioned.
“Whilst it’s true to say that the most popular property type tends to be houses and flats for improvement, the fact is that tenanted properties, land, mixed-use, vacant or occupied commercial lots, and properties being sold as investments tend to sell well at auction too.
“So in preparation for our launch, we are building our network of partner agents in the county, who are introducing properties to us from across the region. Our sales staff live in the county and are already familiar with the area, and we have high hopes for the success of our first sale.”
