Monthly webinars via Facebook are being set up to discuss compliance issues with member agents of the Guild of Property Professionals.
“Because of the constant changes, compliance is something that agents need to put in effort to keep up to date on, or run the risk of being hit with a hefty fine that could put them out of business” says Paul Offley, the Guild’s in-house compliance officer.
He says that despite the flurry of attention given to the industry improving its record on anti-money laundering procedures, “a staggering number of estate agents are unsure of whether they are legally compliant, especially when it comes to AML.”
Offley - who already offers a compliance assessment service to agent members - will now hold a monthly ‘Compliance Surgery’ webinar in the private Guild Members Facebook group.
“We want our Members to have every opportunity to understand any new legislation and to be able to implement it effectively into their business. Being informed will reduce both the probability and the impact of a risk materialising” he says.

Great to see that at last tech is making its way into the armoury of some forward thinking property groups, Facebook is a great way to disseminate information in a collaborative way. Well done Property Guild leading the way with this initiative.
Another great way to communicate and keep property professionals in the loop and do business, in the property sector is using WhatsApp, which has over two billion general and business users. In fact research shows that 76% of consumers/renters/buyers & sellers would rather engage with estate agents over WhatsApp rather than talk on the phone. This has helped make WhatsApp an powerful tool for all agents.
But the rules for WhatsApp use in business have changed. That is why ProptechPR has set up a free live webinar by demo from ‘industry acclaimed’ Paul Gandar, CEO of Stitch.ai, whose WhatsApp solution not only enables agents to super-connect your sales teams and clients, driving sales and profit streams forward, but also ensures you stay fully compliant with all of the new WhatsApp business regulations. Join him tomorrow 12th March from 4 pm - go to Eventbrite for details or google Stitch ai to find out more.
