The annual FUTURE PropTech conference scheduled for London next month is the latest casualty of the havoc being caused by the Coronavirus.
It will now take place on October 28 and 29.
The event, now in its fourth year, attracts a large audience including delegates and speakers from overseas.
A statement from the organisers says: “Postponing the event was an easy decision to make as the well-being and safety of our attendees, partners and colleagues will always be our number one priority. What has not been so easy, was finding suitable dates that works for all of our current partners. We are glad to say that we have received overwhelmingly positive responses and support from them. It's at challenging times like this, that we feel really lucky and privileged to be part of such a fantastic community.”
A string of industry events have pulled the plug on spring dates so far.
The annual conferences of the Association of Residential Letting Agents and The Property Ombudsman, plus this month's National Landlord Investment Show have all been either postponed or cancelled because of the virus.
The FUTURE PropTech organisers add in their postponement message to delegates: "Holding FUTURE PropTech in October will present the best opportunity for all our delegates from around the world to gather in one place to network, collaborate and share challenges and solutions. Our current theme of Reimagining Real Estate will be more relevant than ever.”
