You wouldn’t expect the good folk at Strutt & Parker to have anything less than a superlative set of home offices - and so it turns out to be…
We’re very grateful to see Blair Stewart’s delightful garden office at the South Hams (top image), from which he operates as a consultant for the firm’s Exeter office; and there’s the beautiful view from the home office of Sarah Parsons, a senior associate director at the company’s Estate & Farm Agency division in Northumberland.
Then - and this is something quite special - there’s the home office desk made out of an aircraft wing that is the proud possession of Michael Houlden, head of Strutts’ Cambridge office.
Thanks so much for sharing them all and for these tips…
…from Blair: "I've been working remotely for 3.5 years in a purpose built home office. It's done the job well enough for the last few years, so now is nothing new. I have a dog by my side to keep me company, and will go back to accompanying me on viewings as always once the current lockdown period is over!”
…and from Sarah, who is working from home along with her husband: “We are working in shifts – I generally get 8am to 10am, my husband 10am to 1pm, me 1pm to 2pm, etc etc. This goes on until 6 or 7pm in the evening, and invariably one or both of us catching up in the evening once the children are in bed.” (Sounds tough, but the view is compensation).
…and finally from Michael: “Trying to keep routine as normal as possible, especially first thing in the morning … Still following the same structure as when working in the office. Always starting the day with a team meeting … Being systematic and proactive helps to keep the day ticking along. Make a plan for the day to keep yourself in check.”
** Over Easter we have a selection of images and top tips from agents on how they’re coping with working from home. We have different stories across Estate Agent Today and Letting Agent Today, so do please check out both sites. Thanks - and stay safe… **
