A PropTech firm says it’s using what it calls “World War Three-style” hazard suits when they visit premises to create virtual tours and photographs for details.
The firm says its so-called Hazmat Suits are “state of the art” and “consist of an impermeable whole-body garment, complete with special face breathing-mask and eye shield goggles.”
They provide “respiratory protection, and protection against chemicals, biological agents or other harmful materials.”
The firm, Reevo 360, says it already uses these suits on occasions when it visits derelict buildings or contaminated sites.
“In the new age of COVID-19, when visiting properties post-lockdown, the Hazmat Suits – if requested by vendors/clients – protect both the camera team and any other people in the properties being visited” claims the firm.
The firm normally vcharges from £95 upwards to create a video viewing but warns it will charge a premium for those created with its team wearing the protection “due to working in Hazmat Suits being very strenuous and requiring a team for pre and post visit suit changed and decontamination.”
