A hybrid agency which set a target of rivalling Purplebricks when it launched has announced a recruitment drive and expansion in the Midlands.
Hortons recently won substantial funding from private investment syndicate Dunelm Partners to help achieve a target - set six months ago - of recruiting 25 agents by mid-2021.
Now it is specifying targeting expansion in Nottinghamshire with regional director Nick Landa launching two territories for the agency in recent months and saying: “We’re building a community of experienced estate agents, who are all self-employed. Hortons helps them to develop their personal brands and build their businesses, establishing themselves as local experts and pairing them with cutting edge technology.
“We've had success in Nottingham and there are clear signs that Nottingham homeowners want a more modern way of selling their property. So far, we've had 100 per cent five star reviews."
Landa says the firm is a “modern alternative” to a high street estate agent, combining technology with personal agents to focus on high quality service, with no fees to pay until the sale completes.
Hortons Estate Agents was founded in Leicester in 2018 and has since become one of the East Midlands’ fastest growing estate agencies with a team of 20 covering Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Adam Horton, founder and managing director, told Estate Agent Today at the time of the launch that his modus operandi was similar to Purplebricks, using locally-based experts - he calls them partner agents - to advise individual clients.

Not much fact checking going on, just google the company and they rate 4.8 * out of 5 so not 100% 5 star reviews! If they can't get that fact right the rest is just hogwash!
