The Andrew Grant regional estate agency brand is “very much alive” despite the firm which bore the name losing 54 jobs lost in recent weeks.
Local media reported last week that the agency known as Andrew Grant had entered into administration with the loss of 54 jobs and the closure of five offices.
However at around the same time a deal involving a company called Andrew Grant Sales - which has the same four directors - acquired the existing sales customers and will see their transactions through to completion.
And a deal involving a firm called Andrew Grant lettings Limited has acquired the lettings and property management part of the old company.
Now a statement from the directors says: ”We want to reassure you and clarify that the Andrew Grant brand is very much alive.” It says the directors “have taken on the brand and are confident in their strategy to further strengthen and grow the business.”
It continues: “Andrew Grant Sales Limited was legally formally assigned all the sales contracts from Andrew Grant LLP and has licenced the rights to the Andrew Grant brand which is so recognisable and respected.”
And the statement adds: “Andrew Grant Lettings Limited has acquired the lettings business and looking after our landlords and tenants. Customers will experience a seamless switch of service with their old contract and the terms of business remaining entirely unaffected.”
