Hello: if it’s Friday it’s charity day and this week we have a special announcement from the industry’s own charity, Agents Giving.
Before that, however, a reminder that even in these tough times we’re very keen to help agents who are embarking on personal or corporate fund-raising. Just drop us a line at press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll publicise your efforts (and of course your fund-raising online donations page).
Agents Giving: The property industry’s own charity is celebrating its continued support of The Trussell Trust and local food banks with a nationwide campaign to celebrate Agents Giving Day on October 22.
The aim is to encourage all agents and suppliers to support their local food banks by donating a food parcel to help combat poverty.
Agents Giving is suggesting each agency checks with its local food bank for items that are most urgently needed, collect them up and make the donation at a social distancing drop off point.
“Your office can collect food donations from your area encouraging the wider community to also take part and donate. You can also contribute by purchasing and donating items to your local food bank via your local supermarket collection bin - just a couple of items will help make a big difference to the ongoing need for emergency food in local communities, especially during these difficult times” explains Agents Giving.
Last year this special saw over 22,000 food items collected and this year the charity aims to beat that figure.
You can find the Agents Giving Day Toolkit here for all you need to be part of this national food drive.
