An online agency that describes itself as the fifth largest in the sector has announced it’s launching a digital auction service.
99home has launched Justsold which it says is “the combination of technology and marketing exposure which gives the perfect balance to sell the property fast and at a genuine price.”
And rival agents are being told they could use it to sell their properties if they wish.
99home’s mission statement says its new service wants to “provide a powerful online platform for clients who like to sell or buy properties through auction, where direct vendors, corporate clients nationwide - ie estate agents, solicitors, executors c- an use our unique setup of online auctioneering to sell their properties efficiently and seamlessly round-the-clock.”
The company’s website claims that no charge is made to the vendor for using the auction option and that an unspecified “small fee” is levied on the successful bidder plus another (and again unspecified) “additional reservation fee”.
Estate Agent Today understands the buyer’s fee adds up to 2.5 per cent of the purchase price.
