National property consultancy Carter Jonas has bucked the trend of remote working and closing branches to announce it has secured 12,000 sq ft of office space in Birmingham.
The move creates a permanent base in the city for the firm, which dates back to the 1850s, and first launched in Birmingham in 2016. In the interim, the firm has grown its presence in the region and adopted new services to meet demand.
The office, based on the eighth floor of Two Snowhill, will accommodate Carter Jonas's team delivering services across infrastructure, compulsory purchase, valuation, geospatial, minerals and waste, energy, planning, development, commercial agency and professional services, land assembly, building consultancy and contract management.
"This new office is the culmination of four years hard work and investment by our business," says Christian Green, partner at Carter Jonas Birmingham.
"We opened in Birmingham with just 12 people, but it was a catalyst moment from which we have developed into an established and sustainable hub office, providing a full-service consultancy working across all property sectors with more than 80 people in our team."
Mark Granger, the firm's chief executive, adds: "Our move to a more permanent home at Two Snowhill represents the next stage in the growth of our Midlands business, and demonstrates the resilience and success of our broad-based strategy, supported by our dedicated team."
Carter Jonas now employs over 800 people across England and Wales and has a network of 33 offices.
