Purplebricks has named a new non-executive director - and currently she has 36 other company directorships or partnerships to her name.
Elona Mortimer-Zhika joins the Purplebricks board with immediate effect and has been named as the chair of the company’s audit committee, also with immediate effect.
A qualified chartered accountant, she is currently chief executive officer of IRIS Software Group, one of the UK's largest privately held software companies.
Purplebricks describes the firm as a “provider of mission-critical operational software and services that help businesses be more productive, more engaged and compliant.”
Mortimer-Zhika is responsible for guiding the strategic direction and managing operations at IRIS.
Before joining IRIS, she held several senior leadership roles at big four accountancy firms and private equity-backed businesses, including Mavenir, Acision, Arthur Anderson and Deloitte.
In accordance with stock market rules, her appointment has been accompanied by a list of her past directorships and partnerships in the previous five years (18) and her current directorships and partnerships (36).
Many of her current roles are connected with Iris Group companies.
Paul Pinder, Purplebricks’ chairman, says of the new arrival: “Elona is the CEO of one of the UK's most successful, most valuable and fastest growing software companies and her experience will be invaluable to Purplebricks as we embark on the next stage of our growth.”
