Meanwhile rival agency Knight Frank has appointed Georgie Humphries as an associate in the firm’s super-prime lettings team.

Georgie has seven years’ experience in residential lettings, most recently in the firm’s Notting Hill office. Prior to this, she ran a flagship office for Marsh & Parsons in Notting Hill.

She says: “I’m delighted to be joining the super-prime team and to be working alongside some of the best in class industry experts. It couldn’t be a more exciting time with the team reporting a record year and continuing to go from strength to strength; I am very excited to be a part of it.”

Sticking with lettings, the memorably-named Monkey vs Owl rental company has appointed Holly Edmunds to work in its offices in Derby and Loughborough.

“It is great to be part of a growing, vibrant company who have embraced innovations in technology to provide a dynamic and paperless process that responds quickly to both landlords and tenants. It’s a breath of fresh air in the residential lettings market and I am excited to be part of the next generation evolution of our profession” says Holly.

Meyers, the home-based agency franchise, has expanded into Ringwood and Verwood with Patrick Hester, who has previously worked for Austin & Wyatt (Countrywide), Winkworth and Allsopp.

Patrick says: “I’ve always wanted to run my own estate agency and now, with ten years’ experience in both the UK and abroad, the timing was right. I worked with some of the Meyers’ franchisees in other firms a few years ago, more recently following their progress and success with Meyers. I’m from Poole originally and know the surrounding area well, so when the opportunity became available to run the Meyers franchise for Ringwood and Verwood it was the perfect choice.”

The Lomond Group has strengthened its senior leadership team as it accelerates its growth strategy across the UK with the appointment of three new directors.

Lucy Jones has joined as chief operating officer, Kirsty Franks has taken up the role of group marketing director, and Clare Wakeford has become its group human resources director.

All three are newly-created Board roles at the Leeds-headquartered group, whose network of lettings and sales agents includes the leading High Street brands Linley & Simpson, Thornley Groves, John Shepherd, Brand Vaughan and Michael Jones & Company in England, plus Stonehouse and Braemore in Scotland.
