Zoopla says over 250 agents have now signed up to its partnership deal with PropTech firm FocalAgent, set up by former Purplebricks UK chief executive Lee Wainwright.
The partnership, launched last October, provides Zoopla agents with free access to FocalAgent’s virtual viewing technology. Alongside this, agents are encouraged to buy into FocalAgent’s professional photography services.
Zoopla claims the deal is driving increased instructions with agents typically seeing a 25 per cent increase in the conversion of market appraisals to instructions as a result.
The portal also claims agents are conducting up to eight viewings an hour with the technology, and seeing a one third drop in the number of viewings undertaken before an offer is received.
Wainwright, chief executive of FocalAgent, says: “With people still cautious about transmission, contact and travelling, the viewing stage will remain a remote, digital experience for many.
“Our virtual viewings are a powerful tool and agents are waking up to their long-term potential, in terms of improved online engagement, lead generation and the pre-qualification of genuine clients. In addition, home movers now expect a virtual viewing and FocalAgent doesn’t see this as an option that can be quietly dropped by agents.”
