A former Countrywide agent who is now a leading figure in a PropTech company has signed up two local agencies which used to be his rivals.
In his 38 years of industry experience Peter Everett - now head of agency for PropTech firm Offr - was head of sales (county) for one of Countrywide’s upmarket brands, Hamptons, and sat on the executive board with responsibility for 50 residential sales offices.
He is also a former general manager at CFP Software, a company developing lettings management software, and he spent a quarter of a century at GA Property Services/Your Move where he became the company’s youngest manager.
Now in his new role he has signed up Ashington Page and Kingshills, two Buckinghamshire firms led respectively by Gareth Ashington and Stephen Grace.
“I have known both Gareth and Stephen for a number of years and have always admired and respected them from my time as a competing agent. However, now it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to support them and to empower their businesses with the technology that will transform the home moving experience for all concerned” says Everett.
In August it was announced that Offr, which launched in autumn 2019, had raised £2.7m in seed funding to aid its expansion in the UK and Australia.
It claims to digitise over 85 per cent of the process of buying and selling property for agents and their customers.
