Will Rightmove still be the dominant portal by 2030? Will Boomin really shake up the industry as Purplebricks did before it? Will one of the Big Tech firms enter the market by the end of decade? What of high street offices? Are they still important?
These are the sort of questions we are seeking to answer with our state of the property nation questionnaire – a short 14-question survey which seeks to offer a large-scale, representative insight into one of the UK’s biggest industries.
Is estate agency professional enough? Will RoPA improve things? Are you Team Guild or Team Propertymark? Or backing a different trade body entirely?
Meanwhile, will UK agency see a shift in the coming years by joining many other countries around the world in representing both buyers and sellers in a transaction?
We’re also looking to get an insight into how many agents are deciding to take the self-employed route – an increasing trend which has been supercharged by Covid – how big the majority of agents in the UK are, and whether most agents offer both sales and lettings services.
So, whether you’re the owner of a small local independent, a self-employed agent branching out on your own, a negotiator at a corporate agency, an administrator, a franchisee, a branch manager or a director with years of board-level experience, we are eager to get your opinion on the biggest questions facing the property industry in the next decade.
We hope the survey will provide agents with a greater understanding of the market they operate in, how it’s changing and the possible challenges and challengers they face in the years ahead.
To be a part of it, please answer this short survey and feel free to share it via social media as widely as you like. If you are a subscriber, keep an eye on your inbox as you will also receive an email with a link to the survey there.
The deadline for the survey is Monday 29 March 2021 at 7pm.
Thanks in advance for your responses!
